Overview

This PhD position at the Centre de Nanosciences et de Nanotechnologies within Université Paris-Saclay offers an exciting opportunity to investigate 2D van der Waals heterostructures and rhombohedral graphene phase diagrams. The project utilizes scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) in standard and charge-sensing geometries to probe moiré minibands, electronic compressibility, and Chern numbers. The successful candidate will fabricate experimental samples and conduct low-temperature measurements to uncover non-abelian topological phenomena. The position is funded by the ANR and provides a stimulating environment for experimental solid-state physics research.
