PhD Position in Molecular Processes at Electrode/Electrolyte Interfaces for Water Electrolysis
Explore frontier physics and electrochemistry with AFM experiments to study nanobubble nucleation during water electrolysis.
Best for:Best for master’s graduates in physics, materials science, or electrochemistry with hands-on experimental skills and a passion for interdisciplinary research at the intersection of soft matter and energy science.
Overview
This PhD position at PSL University in Paris focuses on investigating molecular processes at electrode/electrolyte interfaces during water electrolysis. The project bridges soft matter science, interfacial physics, and electrochemistry, with a specific emphasis on solvent restructuring and nanobubble nucleation. The successful candidate will conduct technically demanding Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) experiments and analyze complex data to advance understanding in energy and hydrogen research. The role is ideal for a curious, independent thinker with a strong background in physics, materials science, or electrochemistry, eager to contribute to interdisciplinary frontier research.
