Overview
The University of Bristol Business School invites applications for a 4-year PhD studentship starting in autumn 2027. Selected candidates will engage in rigorous doctoral research aligned with the school's core interdisciplinary themes: Technology and Society, Financial systems, and Sustainability. The position includes mandatory Graduate Teaching Assistant responsibilities, which are compensated separately at an hourly rate. Scholars will work alongside world-class academics at the modern Temple Quarter campus in Bristol, contributing to innovative business and management scholarship.
What you'll do
- Conduct independent, high-quality doctoral research within chosen business or management themes
- Participate in mandatory Graduate Teaching Assistant duties as a condition of the award
- Engage with interdisciplinary research groups and supervision teams across the university
- Complete required doctoral training coursework and progress reviews
- Disseminate research findings through academic publications and conferences
Requirements
Degree required: First or high 2:1 honours degree in a relevant subject and a completed or completing master's qualification
Degree offered: PhD
Language: English; meeting standard university English language entry requirements if applicable
