Overview

The Master of Science in Astro and Particle Physics at the University of Tübingen is a two-year, research-oriented programme offered by the Kepler Centre within the Physics Department. This interdisciplinary programme integrates theoretical and experimental physics, astronomy, and astrophysics to explore the origins, structure, and evolution of the universe, as well as the properties of elementary particles under extreme conditions. Students engage in a modular curriculum, beginning with foundational courses in astronomy, astrophysics, and particle physics, followed by advanced modules and independent research leading to a Master’s thesis. The programme is designed for ambitious students seeking a deep understanding of cosmic phenomena and particle interactions, with a strong emphasis on hands-on research and collaboration with leading scientists in the field.
