Overview

This PhD position involves developing innovative bio-based additives for plastics, addressing the need for alternatives to fluorinated polymer process aids (PPAs) due to environmental regulations. The candidate will work at the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of Materials in Strasbourg, under the supervision of Dr. Stéphane Bellemin-Laponnaz. The research will focus on synthesizing new bio-based PPAs, characterizing their effectiveness, and elucidating the mechanisms of existing PPAs. Collaboration with an industrial partner will provide opportunities for practical research experiences.
