Overview

This PhD position at KTH Royal Institute of Technology investigates the behavior of electrolytes inside nanoporous electrodes for next-generation energy storage systems. The research focuses on how pore size, morphology, and surface chemistry govern ion confinement and charge storage using advanced nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques and targeted computational modeling. The selected candidate will join the School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health under the supervision of Sergey Dvinskikh. The project aims to identify dominant ion transport mechanisms in carbon-based electrodes for batteries and supercapacitors.
