Overview

This fully funded PhD position at Leiden University’s Centre for Linguistics focuses on creating a novel digital morphological constructicon for Dutch. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team to build a network of lexical and grammatical constructions, leveraging computational tools and large language models. The project examines the balance between grammatical regularity and lexical idiosyncrasy in Dutch morphology, requiring both theoretical linguistic expertise and practical data annotation skills. The role includes publishing research, teaching at the bachelor’s level, and participating in project meetings. The position is part of an NWO-funded project led by Dr. Jenny Audring in collaboration with the Instituut voor de Nederlandse Taal.
