Overview

The ESPACE programme at Technical University of Munich (TUM) is a four-semester interdisciplinary Master’s degree that integrates space engineering, Earth system science, and remote sensing. It leverages Munich’s unique ecosystem of industry, research institutions, and universities, including Ludwig Maximilian University, the University of the Federal Armed Forces, and the German Aerospace Centre (DLR). Students explore satellite applications, spacecraft technology, and data management through foundational courses and specialisations in Earth System Science, Remote Sensing, or Navigation. The programme culminates in a Master’s thesis and colloquium, with optional double-degree pathways at Wuhan University or the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
