Overview

The University of Luxembourg is seeking a Doctoral Researcher to explore the role of β-catenin in cell differentiation. This position involves developing BRET biosensors to study intracellular interactions and the effects of peptidic ligands on C2C12 cells. The researcher will engage in hands-on experimental work, contributing to a multidisciplinary team within the FlexCAT programme. Candidates should be motivated for international research and possess a strong background in relevant biological sciences.

What you'll do

  • Assess the impact of Wnt signaling on C2C12 progenitor cells and their differentiation.
  • Create specialized BRET biosensors to analyze protein-protein interactions within the Wnt pathway.
  • Examine how peptidic ligands influence Wnt/β-catenin signaling and differentiation.
  • Conduct measurements of cellular differentiation, signaling responses, and β-catenin localization.
  • Develop BRET biosensors for monitoring target engagement and molecular events.
  • Integrate cellular data with ligand optimization efforts in the FlexCAT programme.
