Overview

This postdoctoral position at the University of Sheffield focuses on advancing medical imaging to detect early-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) in diabetic and hypertensive patients. The role involves designing novel MRI protocols for blood flow measurement, conducting clinical studies, and integrating MRI data with computational models of the cardiovascular system. The project is part of the EPSRC-funded VASCO-CKD initiative, aiming to bridge visible and microscopic vessel damage through digital twin technology. The successful candidate will collaborate with leading researchers in the INSIGNEO Institute for in silico medicine, Europe’s largest institute in this field, and contribute to groundbreaking translational research with real-world clinical impact.
