PhD Position in Causal Multi-Omics Modeling of Disease Biology
Develop novel statistical and machine learning models for multi-omics data integration to uncover cardiovascular disease mechanisms.
Best for:Best for quantitative graduates in statistics, mathematics, or data science with a strong interest in statistical genetics and machine learning.
Overview
The International PhD Programme (IPP) Mainz invites applications for a fully funded doctoral position in the Computational Systems Medicine research group led by Vincent ten Cate. The successful candidate will develop principled statistical and machine learning approaches to integrate multi-omics data, leveraging genetic variation and structural protein features for causal inference in cardiovascular disease. This interdisciplinary project combines statistical genetics, systems biology, and machine learning within a vibrant international research community. The appointee will be expected to conduct independent research, develop computational tools, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals. Working language is English.
