What you'll do
- Teach courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels within related disciplines
- Conduct independent research leading to publications in top-tier refereed journals and secure external research grants
- Undertake research, programme and curriculum development, and departmental administration
- Supervise student projects, research theses, and advise trainees
- Engage actively in industrial collaborations, scholarly research, and consultancy activities
Requirements
Degree required: PhD in Engineering or Science, specialising in Coastal / Ocean Engineering, Ocean Science and Climatology, Hydraulic / Hydrological Engineering, Marine Technology, or a related field
Language: English; excellent proficiency required for instruction and communication
Instruction: English
Publications: Strong records of research, publications, and scholarship in top-tier refereed journals
- Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research
- Strong records of research, publications, and scholarship in coastal modelling, marine technology, ocean renewables and sustainability, and/or ocean dynamics
- Good networking ability and excellent potential to become a world-leading scholar
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in using English as the medium of instruction
- Applicants should hold a relevant PhD degree
- Candidates for Chair Professor or Professor must demonstrate an outstanding record of global leadership and substantial post-qualification experience
