The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor in Healthcare Management. This role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and executive master’s courses in healthcare economics, health systems, and digital health analytics. The successful candidate will engage in applied research, collaborate with industry partners, and contribute to UDST’s mission of fostering experiential learning and innovation. What you'll do
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate undergraduate and executive master’s courses in healthcare management, including Health Economics, Health Insurance, Health Systems, and Health Informatics.
- Assess student progress and manage learning environments, ensuring alignment with program outcomes and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with industry partners, advisory committees, and other educational institutions to enhance curriculum relevance.
- Lead applied research projects focused on healthcare management, quality, patient safety, and health systems innovation.
- Maintain course documentation for accreditation processes and contribute to instructional development initiatives.
- Engage in professional and community activities to strengthen the College’s reputation and impact.
- Foster digital literacy and integrate contemporary technologies into teaching and research.
- Supervise high-caliber research students and mentor their academic and professional growth.
Requirements
Degree required: PhD in Healthcare Management, Health Administration, Health Economics, Health Informatics, Health Systems, Public Health, Health Policy, or a related discipline from an internationally recognized university, along with a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Language: English; proficiency required for teaching and research.
Instruction: English
Publications: Distinguished research record with high-quality publications in top-tier journals.
- Minimum of 3 years (Assistant Professor) or 8 years (Associate Professor) of teaching experience in post-secondary or adult training environments.
- 3 years of professional experience in healthcare management, health administration, health economics, health informatics, or related fields.
- Strong research record with high-quality publications in top-tier journals.
- Experience supervising research students and demonstrating leadership in industry partnerships.
- Commitment to applied and experiential learning methodologies.
- Proficiency in designing technology-enhanced learning environments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate with learners, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
