The Shanghai Clinical Research and Trial Center, an affiliate of ShanghaiTech University, invites clinician-scientists across all career stages to join its foundational team for its trial operations. Offering tenure-track and tenured faculty opportunities, the center focuses on multidisciplinary areas including oncology, neurology, vascular diseases, and immunology. Successful candidates will establish independent research programs, engage in translational clinical practice, and help shape the institution from the ground up. What you'll do
- Establish and direct independent translational research programs or multidisciplinary clinical departments
- Conduct high-impact clinical practice and specialized medical care within dedicated multidisciplinary hospital units
- Mentor junior researchers, clinical staff, and students in academic and clinical environments
- Collaborate across disciplines with researchers and clinicians to develop breakthrough therapies and diagnostic tools
- Design and execute novel clinical-translational pathways without legacy constraints
Requirements
Degree required: MD or MD/PhD degree
Language: Proficiency in English and/or Mandarin Chinese
Instruction: English and Mandarin
Publications: Record of significant publications commensurate with career stage (copies of three most significant publications required)
- Rigorous clinical and academic training appropriate to career stage
- Proven track record of independent research and clinical practice for mid-career and senior applicants
- Demonstrated ability to lead translational research programs or direct high-impact laboratories
- Vision for advancing specialized medical fields and building clinical practices
- Open to early-career, mid-career, senior, and distinguished physician-scientists and clinicians across all disciplines
