Nanoelectronic Systems Master of Science Programme
A full-time Master's degree focused on the technologies, design, and applications of advanced nanoelectronic systems.
Best for:Best for engineering and physics graduates seeking advanced specialisation in microelectronics and nanoelectronic system design.
Overview
The Master of Science in Nanoelectronic Systems at Dresden University of Technology is a four-semester, full-time graduate programme addressing the growing complexity of micro- and nano-scale electronics. Run in conjunction with prominent European partner institutions, the curriculum spans core areas such as nanoelectronic technologies, circuit design, and diverse practical applications encompassing both traditional scaling and beyond-Moore paradigms. Students complete compulsory modules, laboratory sessions, elective coursework, and a dedicated project work period that serves as an integrated internship. The programme concludes with a Master's thesis, preparing graduates for advanced research roles or high-tech industry positions.
What you'll do
- Complete compulsory modules covering foundational technologies, design, and applications of nanoelectronic systems
- Participate in laboratory sessions including programming and practical coursework aligned with student specialisation
- Undertake a third-semester project work module structured as an integrated internship in a research group or industry setting
- Select and complete advanced elective modules from a broad catalog of technical and non-technical topics
- Research, write, and defend a comprehensive Master's thesis during the final semester
