Overview

This PhD position at Université Paris-Saclay focuses on understanding the electromechanical behavior of electrical cable faults under vibrational stress. The research aims to link vibration profiles, mechanical/electrical fault evolution, and reflectometry signatures to enhance fault detection, characterization, and predictive maintenance in critical sectors like aeronautics, railways, and nuclear facilities. The work combines experimental methods (fast reflectometry, high-speed cameras) with modeling and data analysis. The candidate will contribute to advancing diagnostic tools for advanced fault prediction and system reliability.
