Overview

The School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh invites applications for a fully funded Doctoral Candidate position focusing on integrated underwater and terrestrial communication networks. Part of the Horizon Europe MSCA Doctoral Network ANCHOR, the project investigates underwater optical wireless communications to link aquatic environments with wider land and space communication networks. The successful candidate will formulate signalling and waveform designs based on radiative transfer frameworks, develop computer-based simulations, and evaluate performance using channel emulators. The role provides comprehensive financial support including UK fees, a competitive salary, and a dedicated travel and consumables budget.
