Overview

The Leibniz Institute of Atmospheric Physics offers a two-year full-time postdoctoral position within the Department of Modelling of Atmospheric Processes, starting April 1, 2027. The successful candidate will utilize the UA-ICON general circulation model and CTM-IAP chemistry transport model to simulate D-region ionosphere variability above the Baltic Sea. This research is part of a collaborative project aiming to understand atmospheric impacts on the R-Mode positioning system. Responsibilities include conducting high-performance computing simulations, analyzing large datasets, and evaluating lower-atmospheric versus solar forcing.
