PhD in Digital Twin Modeling of Additively Manufactured Lattice Metamaterials
Develop digital twins for additively manufactured lattice metamaterials by integrating CAD, image data, and mechanical simulations.
Best for:Best for mechanical engineers, computer scientists, or materials scientists with expertise in computational modeling, additive manufacturing, and digital twin technologies.
Overview
This PhD position at Institut Clément Ader in Toulouse focuses on bridging computational design (CAD), image data, and mechanical modeling to create digital twins for additively manufactured lattice metamaterials. The project aims to enhance predictive capabilities for mechanical performance and structural integrity in advanced manufacturing. The successful candidate will work under joint supervision, contributing to both academic research and industrial applications. The role is ideal for engineers or scientists with a strong background in mechanical engineering, computer science, or related fields, seeking to advance metamaterial design and simulation methodologies. The project is funded under the Horizon Europe MSCA programme, offering a competitive stipend and full-time employment.
