Predoctoral Contract in Plant Biotechnology and Genomics
Pursue a doctoral thesis investigating plant responses to carbon and nitrogen imbalances at CBGP.
Best for:Best for master's graduates in plant biology or biotechnology with an interest in molecular genetics and genomics.
Overview
The Centro de Biotecnología y Genómica de Plantas (UPM-INIA) is seeking a motivated master's student to undertake a PhD within the research project focusing on the genetic and hormonal architecture of carbon and nitrogen imbalance responses. The successful candidate will work within the ATL31 pathway framework to advance understanding of plant molecular biology and genomics. The role involves conducting experimental research, analyzing complex biological data, and contributing to scientific publications. Applicants should possess a relevant master's degree and a strong foundation in plant biotechnology or related disciplines.
What you'll do
- Design and execute molecular and genetic experiments concerning plant responses to carbon and nitrogen imbalances.
- Investigate the regulatory mechanisms mediated by the ATL31 pathway using biochemical and genetic tools.
- Analyze, interpret, and manage experimental datasets to drive project milestones.
- Collaborate with lab members and present research findings in group meetings and scientific conferences.
- Draft and prepare scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
