Overview

The International PhD Programme (IPP) at the Institute of Molecular Biology in Mainz, Germany, is offering a fully funded doctoral position within the research group of Sandra Schick. The successful candidate will investigate how BAF complex ARID subunit mutations drive colorectal cancer through effects on DNA mismatch repair and cell cycle regulation. Working in an interdisciplinary and international environment, the researcher will employ cutting-edge techniques including CRISPR genome editing, single-cell NGS, proteomics, and colon organoid cultures in collaboration with the Luck lab. Applicants are expected to hold a relevant master's degree and demonstrate a strong interest in molecular oncology and functional genomics.
