Research Assistant/Associate in Computational Immunology
Join an ERC-funded project at the University of Cambridge to decode human tissue-resident T cell regulation using single-cell genomics.
Best for:Best for computational scientists or immunologists with experience in single-cell genomics and a strong interest in human immunology.
Overview
The Department of Pathology at the University of Cambridge is seeking a computational scientist or immunologist for a fixed-term position within Professor Christina Zielinski's research group. The successful candidate will contribute to the ERC-funded project ORGANise-T, analyzing multimodal single-cell datasets to understand how human T cells adapt to distinct tissue microenvironments. Responsibilities include developing research objectives, analyzing large-scale transcriptomic data, and preparing findings for publication. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and advance next-generation immunotherapies.
What you'll do
- Analyze multimodal single-cell datasets including scRNA-seq, TCR-seq, CITE-seq, and spatial transcriptomics.
- Investigate the regulation and tissue-specific functions of human tissue-resident T cells across various organs.
- Develop and drive independent research objectives within the ORGANise-T project framework.
- Collaborate with internal team members and external partners on genomic and transcriptomic studies.
- Prepare research findings for presentation at academic conferences and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
