Overview

This two-year Research Master in Interdisciplinary Research in Health Dynamics (IRHD) at the University of Groningen invites students to investigate critical health questions from a multidisciplinary perspective. The programme focuses on understanding why individuals recover differently from illness, how societies can promote healthier lives across all ages, and the role of science, technology, and policy in shaping health, functioning, and well-being. Students engage in a small, diverse cohort, receive tailored mentorship, and select from two tracks: *Mechanisms of Lifecourse Health* (individual health trajectories) or *Strategies for Population Health* (systemic and policy-driven solutions). The programme builds on expertise from related fields like epidemiology, sport sciences, and human movement sciences, preparing graduates for impactful careers in academia and beyond.
