Overview

The School of Life Sciences at the University of Sussex seeks an ambitious Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a vibrant research group investigating the molecular mechanisms of eukaryotic transcription. The successful candidate will explore how reversible phosphorylation of key factors coordinates RNA polymerase II transcription with RNA processing and maturation. The role combines mammalian cell culture, genome editing, biochemistry, and functional genomics within a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment. Applicants are expected to drive independent experimental ideas, contribute to a broader multidimensional research programme, and demonstrate strong scientific curiosity.
