PhD-TA in Statistics
Develop statistical methodology and software for estimating time-varying network structures in functional time series.
Best for:Best for quantitative researchers with a master's in statistics or mathematics, strong R or Python skills, and an interest in functional data analysis.
Overview
Eindhoven University of Technology offers a five-year PhD position focusing on functional data analysis and complex, dynamic data within the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. The selected candidate will investigate theoretical tools for analysing dependence structures in functional time series, develop new statistical methods and software for time-varying networks, and contribute to teaching tasks. Supervision is provided by Lujia Bai and Jeanine Duistermaat as part of the Statistics, Probability and Operations Research (SPOR) cluster. The applicant is expected to engage in research, publish in international journals, and participate in conferences while dedicating a portion of their time to coaching students and teaching.
What you'll do
