Overview

The University of Groningen is offering a 4-year PhD position within the Groningen Research Institute of Pharmacy. The project focuses on the intersection of biophysical modeling, soft matter, and cell mechanobiology to investigate how cells encode mechanical cues. The successful candidate will create analytical and numerical frameworks to link force transmission with intracellular signaling, specifically calcium dynamics. While the role is primarily computational, the researcher will also engage in experimental work involving cell-material systems. This position is ideal for a candidate interested in bridging theoretical modeling with biological observation.
