Overview
The Center for Cyber Security at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Research Scientist to lead high-impact investigations in systems security and privacy. Working primarily in the UAE with opportunities for collaboration with NYU nodes in the United States, the appointee will produce peer-reviewed publications, mentor students, and engage with external industry and government partners. The role requires a strong independent research trajectory alongside collaborative initiative in a multidisciplinary academic setting. What you'll do
- Conduct world-class research projects focusing on systems security and privacy.
- Author research papers and disseminate findings in premier conferences and journals.
- Partner with external stakeholders, including government organizations and industry partners, to deliver innovative technological outcomes.
- Mentor undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students to enhance their research capabilities.
- Contribute to the technical and administrative organization of center workshops, conferences, and competitions.
Requirements
Degree required: PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Language: English
Instruction: English
Publications: Strong record of research and publications in well-known journals and conferences
- Expertise in a security or privacy research topic
- At least six years of relevant research experience in computer security beyond the PhD
- Strong publication record in well-known journals and conferences
- Excellent analytical, design, and coding capabilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Open to all qualified candidates
