Overview
Babes-Bolyai University is seeking a motivated Biologist to contribute to the Romanian Centre of Excellence on Biodiversity, Ecosystem Services, and Society (RECOVER). This position is part of a specialized research project focused on ecological assessment and biodiversity management. The successful candidate will engage in field and laboratory activities to support the project's objectives regarding ecosystem services. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong foundation in biological sciences and a commitment to high-quality research. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dedicated team of experts in the Faculty of Biology and Geology.
What you'll do
- Conduct field research and data collection related to biodiversity and ecosystem services.
- Perform laboratory analysis of biological samples collected during project activities.
- Contribute to the synthesis and reporting of research findings for the RECOVER project.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve project milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and research data.
Requirements
Degree required: Bachelor's degree in Biology or a closely related field.
Language: Proficiency in Romanian and/or English.
Instruction: Romanian
- Strong knowledge of biological principles and ecological research methods.
- Proficiency in field data collection techniques.
- Ability to perform laboratory analysis and handle biological specimens.
- Must meet the criteria for a First Stage Researcher (R1).
