Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Experimental Hydroxyapatite Remineralization
Join Oxford’s Multifunctional Materials & Composites Lab to pioneer experimental solutions for tooth enamel remineralization using advanced microscopy and microfluidics.
Best for:Best for postdoctoral researchers with a PhD in materials chemistry, science, or engineering and hands-on experience in biomineralization, microfluidics, and advanced spectroscopic methods.
Overview
This postdoctoral position at the University of Oxford’s Department of Engineering Science offers a chance to contribute to groundbreaking research in dental biomaterials. The project focuses on elucidating the pathways for human tooth enamel mineralization through cutting-edge 4D microscopy and microfluidics. The successful candidate will drive experimental campaigns to develop innovative remineralizing solutions, leveraging expertise in biomineralization, crystallization chemistry, and spectroscopic techniques. The role is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and provides a fixed-term opportunity to work in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment.
