Overview

This PhD studentship offers an exciting interdisciplinary research project investigating how climate change affects key commercial fish species and fisheries management in both Arctic and Antarctic waters. Run in collaboration between the British Antarctic Survey, Cefas, and the University of East Anglia, the successful candidate will use ecological, fisheries, and environmental datasets to undertake quantitative analyses. The research involves ecological modelling, climate projections, and risk assessments to examine future climate scenarios and evaluate governance frameworks. The candidate will receive comprehensive interdisciplinary training and engage with international scientific and policy communities.
