Overview

This doctoral position focuses on the PIPERADE double Penning trap project, which is being developed for installation at the DESIR facility at GANIL. The research centers on performing high-precision mass measurements of exotic nuclei and high-resolution mass selection to support studies in nuclear structure and stellar nucleosynthesis. The successful candidate will actively participate in the offline commissioning of the instrument, investigate systematic mass uncertainties, evaluate purification techniques, and take part in initial online experiments. The project offers a collaborative environment bridging advanced nuclear instrumentation and fundamental physics research.
