Overview

Eindhoven University of Technology is seeking two PhD candidates for the ERC-funded project 'TOP DESIGN'. The research focuses on controlling magnetic skyrmions—nanoscale, topologically protected textures—using femtosecond laser pulses for advanced ICT applications. Candidates will conduct experimental physics research, including thin-film synthesis and time-resolved magneto-optical spectroscopy. The role involves working within an international team to develop a 'magnetic topology printer' and exploring current-driven dynamics. Applicants will also contribute to teaching and supervision as part of their professional development.
