Associate Professor / Full Professor in New Media and Digital Culture

VinUniversity's College of Arts and Sciences is seeking an innovative and research-active scholar for an Associate or Full Professor position in New media and Digital Culture. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the BA in Multimedia Communication curriculum by integrating critical perspectives on digital platforms, algorithms, and emerging technologies. Responsibilities include conducting high-impact research, delivering engaging undergraduate instruction through experiential learning methods, and mentoring students. Candidates should hold a relevant PhD and demonstrate excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and scholarly publishing.

• Conduct high-impact research in new media, digital culture, and contemporary media and communication.
• Develop and maintain a distinctive research agenda in areas such as platform studies, algorithmic media, or AI and society.
• Publish research in leading international peer-reviewed journals and present findings at major conferences.
• Deliver high-quality undergraduate instruction using research-informed and experiential teaching methods.
• Teach and develop courses in media theory, digital media futures, communicating with AI, and platform studies.
• Mentor and support students in academic growth, undergraduate research, and professional development.
• Contribute to the strategic curriculum development of the BA in Multimedia Communication program.
