Overview

This postdoctoral position at NYU Abu Dhabi focuses on redefining household dynamics in developing economies. The successful candidate will split their time between independent research and collaborative work with Professors Torsten Figueiredo Walter and Luca Maria Pesando, examining how household size and composition evolve over time and space. The project challenges traditional household models by linking structural changes to economic development, poverty metrics, and intra-household decision-making. Ideal candidates should have a PhD in economics, demography, or a related field, with expertise in large-scale data analysis and household surveys.
