PhD Position in Mechanisms and Dynamics of Olfactory Cortex Neuromodulation
Explore how cholinergic and GABAergic projections modulate olfactory cortex function using optogenetics and fiber photometry in mice.
Best for:Best for neuroscientists with expertise in optogenetics, fiber photometry, and behavioral neuroscience, seeking a multidisciplinary PhD in olfactory cortex dynamics.
Overview
This PhD position at the Institut des Neurosciences Cellulaires et Intégratives (INCI) in Strasbourg focuses on investigating the neural mechanisms underlying neuromodulation in the olfactory cortex. The project will employ advanced techniques like fiber photometry and optogenetics to study behavioral and neural dynamics in mice. Supervised jointly by Dr. Y. Sych and Dr. D. Desaintjan, the candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team spanning cellular neurobiology, network physiology, and computational neuroscience. The fully funded position (36 months) leverages an ANR grant, offering a stimulating international research environment within a leading French research institute.
What you'll do
