Fairfield School of Business is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Business to join its campus in Sheffield. Responsibilities include curriculum delivery, assignment assessment, personal tutoring, and participation in quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant Master's degree, teaching experience in higher or further education, and strong organizational skills.
What you'll do
- Deliver high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment monitoring in accordance with examination requirements
- Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, and comprehensive learning materials
- Mark student assignments and maintain accurate records of formative and summative assessments by specified deadlines
- Act as a Personal Tutor to identify and support individual student needs
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student dissertations
- Produce digital learning materials, webinars, and lecture recordings as required
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality assurance processes, and regulatory compliance activities
- Contribute to departmental, faculty, or institutional working groups and committees
Requirements
Degree required: Master's degree in a relevant discipline
Language: English
Instruction: English
- Experience teaching and learning at undergraduate, postgraduate, or equivalent level
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Experience working with students within a Higher Education or Further Education setting
- Ability to convey ideas effectively to students from diverse backgrounds and with varied experiences
