Overview

The Tsai Laboratory within the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to investigate a novel family of stress-response ATPases that interact with RNA and ribonucleoprotein particles. The successful candidate will conduct hands-on biochemical analyses including RNA preparation, in vitro transcription and translation, quantitative RNA-protein binding assays, and protein purification and characterization. Responsibilities also encompass data interpretation, regular presentation at lab meetings, and manuscript preparation for publication. Applicants are expected to hold a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline and bring prior technical expertise in RNA biochemistry.
