PhD Position in Advanced Correlative Microscopy and Isotopic Imaging
Develop advanced correlative microscopy and isotopic imaging methods for next-generation lithium-ion battery electrodes.
Best for:Best for master's graduates in materials science or physics with an interest in advanced nano-analytics and battery materials.
Overview
The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) invites applications for a 48-month doctoral position focusing on advanced correlative microscopy and isotopic imaging. The successful candidate will investigate lithium transport and interfacial processes in next-generation silicon-based Li-ion battery electrodes by developing high-throughput FIB-SIMS workflows and cryogenic sample preparation strategies. Working within a multidisciplinary environment alongside experienced scientists and engineers, the researcher will design experiments, analyze nanoscale datasets, and contribute to predictive battery modeling. The PhD registration will be held at the University of Luxembourg, while day-to-day research will take place at LIST in Belvaux.
