Overview
The research group of Professor Jiahao Yu at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Associate in AI and Cybersecurity. The appointed researcher will investigate artificial intelligence security, trustworthy machine learning, and the application of AI techniques to software security and vulnerability detection. Responsibilities include developing and evaluating innovative methods, executing experimental analyses, preparing academic publications, and mentoring junior student researchers. Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in a relevant field and a strong background in experimental computer science or cybersecurity.
What you'll do
- Develop and evaluate novel methodologies in AI security, trustworthy machine learning, and cybersecurity applications
- Design and implement comprehensive experiments to test theoretical frameworks and algorithms
- Analyze experimental results and contribute actively to peer-reviewed academic publications
- Formulate new research questions and lead independent studies in collaboration with the principal investigator
- Mentor student researchers and guide their technical development within the laboratory
Requirements
Degree required: PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
Language: English; strong written and oral proficiency required
Instruction: English
Publications: Publications in relevant research areas are welcomed as evidence of research ability
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research in computer science or engineering
- Strong programming and experimental implementation skills
- Research experience in AI security, trustworthy machine learning, or cybersecurity
- Clear written and oral communication abilities
- Must hold a PhD by the start of the appointment
- Must be within 5 years of receiving the doctoral degree
