[MSCA] Doctoral Researcher in Electron Beam Writing for Nanoimprint Lithography
Join an MSCA Doctoral Network as a PhD student focusing on electron beam writing and nanoimprint lithography for high-power laser systems.
Best for:Best for physics or materials science graduates with strong backgrounds in optics, nanolithography, or electron beam writing.
Overview
This PhD position is part of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network hosted in connection with the University of Eastern Finland. The successful candidate will conduct advanced research on electron beam writing of masters for nanoimprint lithography (NIL), specifically targeting high-power laser system pulse compressor grating waveguides. The role involves fabrication, characterization, and optimization of micro- and nanostructures, collaborating within an international network of academic and industrial partners. The candidate is expected to produce high-quality research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and work towards completing a doctoral degree.
What you'll do
- Design and execute electron beam writing processes to fabricate master structures for nanoimprint lithography.
- Develop and optimize nanofabrication workflows for high-power laser system pulse compressor grating waveguides.
- Characterize fabricated micro- and nanostructures using advanced metrology tools.
- Collaborate with international project partners within the MSCA Doctoral Network.
- Prepare scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international conferences.
- Complete doctoral coursework and fulfill all requirements of the PhD programme.
