Post-Doctoral Associate in Molecular Medicine and Chemical Biology
Develop novel protein-based inhibitors and drug delivery systems for neurodegenerative diseases under expert supervision.
Best for:Best for postdoctoral researchers with expertise in protein misfolding diseases, optical spectroscopy, and in vivo models seeking to advance drug discovery for neurodegenerative disorders.
Overview
This postdoctoral position at NYU Abu Dhabi’s Magzoub Laboratory focuses on designing protein and synthetic small molecule inhibitors, alongside innovative drug delivery platforms, to target pathogenic protein self-assembly linked to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and type II diabetes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Professor Mazin Magzoub, contributing to cutting-edge research at the intersection of molecular medicine and chemical biology. The role emphasizes hands-on experimental work, including optical spectroscopy, microscopy, and in vivo model systems like *C. elegans* and mice. The position offers a competitive salary, housing allowance, and a dynamic international research environment in Abu Dhabi. Ideal for postdocs with a strong background in protein misfolding diseases and a passion for translational research.
