Overview

The Sustainable Energy and Development (SEDev) Master’s programme at Europa-Universität Flensburg equips students with technical, economic, and social skills to transform energy systems globally. Focusing on renewable energy integration, project management, and equitable solutions, the programme blends engineering, development cooperation, and sustainability. Students engage in problem-based learning, international field projects, and a thesis-internship hybrid, preparing them for careers in industry, NGOs, and government. The curriculum integrates technical modules like energy modelling with social sciences and project management, ensuring graduates can lead equitable energy transitions. Located in Flensburg—a gateway to Scandinavia—the programme leverages its border-region context for cross-cultural collaboration and real-world impact.
