Overview

This PhD position at Centrale Lille Institut focuses on engineering and investigating a novel class of supramolecular crosslinks called Bioinspired Folded Pseudorotaxane Crosslinks (BFPC). The project aims to achieve ultrahigh kinetic stabilities with extremely low dissociation rates to develop polymer networks capable of withstanding high mechanical loads while exhibiting fast recovery properties. The successful candidate will design, synthesize, and characterize these advanced molecular systems to overcome current limitations in supramolecular polymer networks. The appointment begins on October 1, 2025, in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France.
