Overview
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) invites applications for three Research Assistant Professor positions across Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Management and Logistics, and Smart Systems and Design. These roles are based in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, a leading unit offering multidisciplinary programmes and applied research. Successful candidates will conduct high-impact research, secure external grants, deliver undergraduate/postgraduate teaching, and contribute to departmental service. What you'll do
- Conduct high-impact research leading to publications in top-tier refereed journals and conferences.
- Actively pursue and secure external research grants (e.g., General Research Fund) as Principal Investigator.
- Deliver high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in relevant engineering disciplines.
- Contribute to departmental service activities, including administrative and collaborative tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with industry partners and engage in applied research projects to drive innovation.
- Develop and implement research proposals aligned with departmental and university strategic priorities.
Requirements
Degree required: PhD degree in a related engineering discipline (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent).
Language: English; ability to use English as the medium of instruction and communication.
