Overview

This elite international double-degree doctoral program is delivered through a partnership between Monash University and the University of Bayreuth within the framework of the DFG-funded IRTG OPTEXC initiative. The successful candidate will investigate how to combine generative AI, molecular dynamics, and density functional theory to design next-generation organic semiconductor materials. The role involves working at the intersection of computational chemistry, materials science, and machine learning, including a mandatory 6 to 12-month research stay in Germany. Upon completion, the candidate will graduate with a recognized double PhD degree from both institutions.
