Overview

This postdoctoral position at the University of Strathclyde’s Department of Physics focuses on advancing theoretical quantum science within the newly established Quantum Control & Complexity Group. The successful candidate will collaborate with Dr. Pablo Poggi on the Royal Society University Research Fellowship project, investigating how quantum chaos and control can be harnessed for emerging quantum technologies. The role involves both fundamental research—such as studying operator growth, information scrambling, and quantum optimal control—and applied work targeting near-term quantum processors, particularly neutral-atom-based systems. The position offers opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and international collaboration, with a strong emphasis on publishing research and engaging with the broader quantum science community.
