Overview

The Department of Cybernetics at the Czech Technical University in Prague is seeking a PhD candidate for the PICTUS Fellowship Programme. This research project focuses on identifying robust, interpretable predictors of motor improvement in Parkinson’s disease patients following subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation. The successful candidate will integrate clinical, motor, neuropsychological, and imaging data to develop a multi-tiered analytical framework. By comparing classical regression with modern hierarchical and penalized modeling, the researcher will contribute to improving clinical outcome predictions. The position offers access to curated clinical datasets and opportunities for international collaboration.
