PhD Fellowship in Climate and Health Epidemiology
Join an international consortium investigating the impact of climate-related environmental exposures on cardiovascular and respiratory health.
Best for:Best for candidates with a Master's degree in epidemiology or environmental science and a strong interest in climate-related health research.
Overview
The Danish Cancer Institute is seeking a PhD candidate to join the U-PATH project, a large-scale EU-funded consortium investigating the health risks associated with climate change. The research focuses on disentangling the effects of direct heat from mediating environmental factors such as air pollution, noise, and indoor overheating. The successful applicant will work within the Work, Environment and Cancer group to harmonize epidemiological data and conduct indoor temperature measurement campaigns. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a multi-national effort aimed at developing models for indoor heat exposure assessment and understanding long-term health outcomes.
