Overview

This PhD studentship at the University of East Anglia investigates Arctic wintertime storms and polar lows in a changing climate. The project involves developing future climatologies using high-resolution climate model ensembles, analyzing ocean and sea-ice impacts, and examining case studies with numerical weather prediction models. The successful candidate will receive extensive training in climate model data analysis, meteorological observation interpretation, and state-of-the-art numerical weather prediction systems. The student is expected to contribute actively to research outputs, potentially participate in fieldwork, and complete a doctoral dissertation.
