Overview

The University of Birmingham is offering a fully-funded PhD studentship in the School of Mathematics focusing on probabilistic combinatorics. Under the supervision of Dr. Joshua Erde, the successful candidate will investigate open research problems by applying techniques from probability theory to combinatorial models and discrete random processes. The project aims to develop a deep understanding of probabilistic methods pioneered by Erdős and their applications to counting and probability correspondence. Applicants are expected to possess a strong background in mathematics, combinatorics, or discrete probability, along with excellent communication skills.
